Training & Support

  • From day one, an onboarding team will walk alongside the new operator and follow an onboarding checklist, checking off items that will be required to open up the business. The new candidate will then work with our Local Marketing team to implement a marketing strategy to help generate brand awareness and generate leads.
  • Before opening, new operators will spend 1 week at the home office, located in Oakville Ontario, where they will learn all about Bin There Dump That and our proven business model. Then, new operators will travel to one of three National Training Facilities where they will spend 1 week learning the business by actually spending time in the truck and spending time in the office learning all the ins and outs of the business.
  • Upon opening, new operators will work 1-on-1 with a Franchise Support Coach, helping them open up their business. They will then work with their coach regularly on a weekly/bi-weekly or monthly routine. All coaches will lean on the proven business model to guide their operators to success.

We host an annual business development conference at a different location each year.

History

Our founder, Mark Crossett was a General Contractor in the late 1990's. Mark found a problem in obtaining bins to remove the construction debris from his jobs, so, he founded the company called Bin There Dump That. Mark started up his dumpster rental business. Fast forward to 2004. Mike Kernaghan, at the time and still to this day, the President and CEO of That Franchise Group was the franchisor for a franchise called Weed Man Lawn Care, among other brands that were under the umbrella.

In 2004, Mike's house flooded which precipitated the need for a dumpster. He found Mark in the Yellow Pages and called him. With Mike's decades of franchise experience, he saw the simplicity of the business model and the catchy name, he knew he could franchise this business. Mike and Mark started in Ontario Canada and then grew into other provinces. They quickly hired now COO, John Ferracuti, who then brought on his dear friend Greg Yon a few short years later. From there, they implemented the business model, and fast forward to today, we have 250 franchise territories in operation.

  • Entrepreneur-minded operators that aren't looking for a job. They should be looking to be a business owner who works ON the business, not IN the business.
  • Corporate people looking to escape the 9-5 routine and who are looking to change their life and be their own boss.
  • Small business experience is an asset, but not required. We are happy to train/teach/coach the willing.
  • Must be interested in following a proven business model that will succeed, when followed.
