Hungry Howie’s Pizza & Subs is a chain of pizza restaurants. It boasts eight flavored crusts, including butter, butter cheese, onion, ranch, and garlic herb. The crusts are created from dough made fresh every day in each restaurant’s kitchen. Other menu items include salads, buffalo wings, oven-baked subs, bread, pizza rolls and giant cookies. Multi-store and single-store opportunities are available in many states. Customers can dine in, opt for carryout or get delivery.

The restaurants are usually 1,200 to 1,600 square feet and sited in strip centers. Some locations are freestanding. End caps are preferred, and there must be a minimum of 5,000 households within a 1-mile radius around a proposed restaurant site. Co-tenancy with a dry cleaner, grocery or another quick-service restaurant may be required. Hungry Howie’s is open to franchising nontraditional locations in spots such as stadiums, rest stops and colleges.

Prospective franchise owners must have a credit score above 700 and the ability to get financing for up to $275,000 (even if they don’t plan to seek that financing). Franchise opportunities are not available in all states, and in some states, only multi-unit opportunities are available. These multi-unit states include many northern states such as Oregon, Washington, Idaho, Minnesota, Wisconsin, New York and Vermont. Both single and multiple units are available in states such as Texas, Louisiana and North Carolina.
