When Jim Valenzuela couldn't find a traditional barbershop for his son to enjoy as he had with his father, he decided to open V's Barbershop and Shoeshine in 1999. Jim "V" intended to recreate the old-time barbershop experience and set a new standard with real barber chairs, professional barbers, hot lather shaves and quality haircuts. The first shop in Houston was such a success that it started the journey of V's franchising. V's has since grown with a purpose, not aiming to conquer the world of men's barbershops, but to foster a larger family atmosphere across all its locations, embodying a spirit of unity and shared passion for the barbershop tradition.
